Fish a really big one that got
away...............
Last night wind swept the boat at up to 34 kts on
Jans watch, a cruel sea for jan .Jans watch was very wet and his
shoes got soaked. mamma mia......................
I was next watch and it rained all the time,
well for the 1st half hour anyway 2-5 am is the toughest watch, but still
managed to sail hydrovane on .
Gregs watch was 5-8 am but he decided 4 am was the
herioc time to start only to realise the clocks were put back as we crossed the
dateline.
Back to bed for Greg and rise at dawn ,red sky
dawning to a pod of dolphins around the boat for Sinta Klaus day ,Hey look it up
if you dont know ......................
Mikes watch was the easy one ,thou electric storms
were abound, He soon got to grips with the storms and gusts and a steady course
was held.
After a red sky dawning you would expect sailors
delight and a calm day sailing ,unfortunatly our spinnaker halyard parted
company with our spinnaker,a frantic call for crew was made ,upon a boundy
up to decks by all to find our spinnaker doing a very
good impersonation of a sea anchor.
As we write our blog ,the sunsets to a romantic
siruis cloud system , tinged with pastel shades of mellow
fruitfulness.............
