A very difficult but right decision taken, we will return to Las Palmas.

Solbolla working well, the crew is in good mood  and good shape but unfortunately the trade wind seems to have decided not arrive this year, at least not so far.

With 48 hours with strong wind at the nose and 4 to 6 meter swells and waves we recognized that we would not reach St. Lucia until earliest around 20Dec.

The weather forecast was the same for the next coming week.

Therefore to have chance to come home before Xmas  the hole crew agreed to return.

We were in a good possession among the 25 first boats so far and had already 962 nautical miles behind us when we turned Solbolla NE.

To all friends, we are sorry for this, hopefully our families are happy to see us at the Xmas table.

Still 706 nm to go to Gran Canary Island
