Our luck has turned. We not only entered
the trade winds with their ideal winds, we caught our first fish. A 15-20lb Dolphin,
AKA Mahi Mahi or Dorado. We used a hand line with an artificial squid type lure
that was perfect for the overcast day. Peter pulled and excellent gaff shot. We
had some for lunch and will fry some for dinner to go along side Ellis Stansel
rice, zucchini Provencal & glazed apple crepes. Courtney’s keeping us
all well fed to be sure.

Tonight we are also celebrating the 1000
mile mark. We’re breaking out our first bottle of wine for the occasion.
This is a dry trip (well almost dry). Our next bottle will be bubbly when we
cross the equator in a week or so.
