After another motor sailing day into strong southerlies and a worse forecast to come we passed under the Skye bridge at 1800 just in time to catch the south going tide through Kyle Rhea which boosted our speed to 9.4 knots as we passed the narrows. It was then only 12 nm to Mallaig where we tied up in the marina at 2115 and stepped back on to Scottish soil. 30 minutes later we were in the Steam Inn listening to a totally excellent Ska band. We were finally back on board by 2am and slept well.
