Week 3. The last 5 days sailed well,
although they continue short of what I regard as a good cruising distance
per day. Last night was another 3-reef sail although only F6 it was fairly
rough. I seem to make around 500nm per week, which should not be a
surprise in terms of the typical time for this crossing. I should be
halfway, but actually perhaps 100nm short. I'm now heading S for a couple
of days to try to avoid the worst of the system that comes over later this week.
I'm now definitely back to thermals, the silver cloud being an excuse for
porridge and honey at breakfast.
