Welcome to the blog from Yacht Katika. This is my first attempt at a blog so please bear with me. Rory Mcgouran is the owner and skipper.George Owen is the engineer and sail trimmer and I am the humble galley slave and victualler.......lots of chocy bars!
Katika left Ipswich earlier this summer and much of the passage to here in Las Palmas was with John Seymore who did a hugh amount of work and will be much missed.Good luck John with the helicopter building!
We are all getting quite excited and probably a little anxious although I seem to be the only one to admit this! Most of the preparation is done with just the fresh meat to be delivered and stowed.Lots of spares bought and we maybe one of the slowest boats as we are relatively small and quite heavy....ok not just me.
Hopefully I will write fairly regularly and you can pick up our position......it seems a bloody long way.
