After a two night sail across the Bay of Biscay, we have finally arrived in Spain! With fireworks, dolphins, and lots of sunshine we are really enjoying our stay so far!
The inside of Silhouette.
Our first stop was the city of Gijon in the north coast of Spain. We stayed there four nights and experienced most of what the city had to offer. We ate at a local restraunt, El Planeta, where we discovered delicous seafood and chocolate tarts! On our second night we saw the best firework display we had ever seen! To mark the start of the Gijon Festival, fireworks were let off at midnight, including smiley faces and heart fireworks!
On our last day in Gijon we went cycling around the city. We cycled past its giant beach and got ice cream. On the way back we visited the stunning Roman Baths of Gijon.

After a short stay in the bay of Ribadeo we sailed to Vivero. In this large seaside town we did lots swimming on the beach. Mum and Robyn even swam back to the boat that was anchored some distance from the beach. Unfortunatley, I was too scared to try!

Cediera was our next port of call. On the first day there we went to the beach. Robyn and I went for a swim which resulted in a water/sand/seaweed fight between us! As a punishment for pelting me with seaweed, Robyn got buried in sand! For lunch the following day we went to a nice restaurant and did some souvenir hunting!

Our latest port of call is La Coruna. We are in Marina Coruna and will be staying there for two days. After that we will hire a car and go on a five day road trip around Northern Spain!
Adios!
