Dry Track: http://gpx.io/a/sost Day 1, after 20 months lay up ashore in Kats, Pelagia was once again on the move and Captain Frans was seeking salty spray to bleach up his hair. The crew suggestion of another trip up the canals looking at tulips was rapidly dismissed. The fixed bridge over the sea lock at Roompot is only navigable for us at low water and so this dictated our 1800 departure to be ready to lock through at 2100. We can overnight for free on the waiting pontoon outside because this early in the season we will not be chased off. High water is handy around 0600 so we will go north on the ebb. New friends, Keith and Carole leaving a few hours before us after weeks of preseason maintenance on the hard-standing.  |
