Day 15 – Noon 2^nd June to Noon 3^rd June

Horrible confused lumpy swells last night – cooking became a messy affair again but perversely sleeping gets easier the more exhausted we become. Skipper was so tired he even slept through dinner.

We’re all jaded and just want to get there now. It’s a case of grinding out the miles and being patient – the weather just refuses to give us a faster pain free solution.

Still we did ok mileage wise at 129 achieved and only have 125 left to go before the finish line is closed with 24 hours to get there. Unless the weather can whip out a trump card at this late stage I think it’s going to be checkmate in favour of Peejay.

We’re all missing wives and girlfriends and eyeing each other up suspiciously. So a very happy birthday to you Maddy – don’t get too alarmed – Nick has only started sleeping with a packet of hobnobs so far!

That’s it – I’d better go and concentrate on some navigation before I hit something – like and island!
