La Coruna to Porto

And onto Portugal
We began with 14 hours of motoring before the fabled Portuguese Trade
winds arrived. Around Cape Finistere it was fairly foggy with viz down to 200
metres so we were all very vigilant on our watches. The hilight of the trip was
the accompanying porpoises that joined us for long periods of time. We managed
to get some video and still footage of them too. Karyn was whistling to them and
Peter was making Flipper noises to them and they seemed to hang around longer
than usual!
Our original plan was to sail up the river Duro into the centre of Porto
itself, but the tides and wind made this hazardous and so we opted for the
marina outside the river entrance. We took the bus into Porto for dinner that
evening and had a great time - a very beautiful city!
Steve arrived on Tuesday for the next 2 legs of the trip.
