Gilbraltar from the Azores was a mixture of too
much wind, no wind and luckily a few days of great sailing. We were expecting
breakfast in GIlbraltar until we hit 30 + knots head wind 40 miles out. 12
Hours of tacking into 1 to 2 m waves and gusts up to 40 kts we had to buckle
down and reset our expectations.
After a few fronts, sailing in weather we werent
sure we would ever see, 1 sword fish, a few islands and lots of cool
experiences, we have completed the the northern Atlantic stage of our trip. Next
stage is 3 months RnR around the Med.
