Rebak
![]() ![]() This morning we woke to a pretty sunrise and away from the top of the
horseshoe-shaped Koh Lipe, we saw Langkawi
ahead.
![]() We motored on in windless conditions
to the Thai / Malaysian border.
![]() ![]() ![]() A modest flag changing
ceremony.
![]() ![]() ![]() We enjoyed a game of backgammon in
total peace but no more than a second after I had finished uttering my joy at no
FADS, floats or fisherman than there we were – entering a
‘being laid as we watched’ FAD field.....groan.
![]() New white
polystyrene floats in a lovely long line.
![]() ![]() ![]() Neat, tidy, fresh
but unlit.............
![]() ![]() Approaching Langkawi, the familiar
sight of the cable car.
![]() A fisherman went
by and waved, we shrugged but waved back cheerily........
![]() Rebak, on
the left, another shrug and on we went.
![]() Twenty nine point eight miles and the
final turn before the marina, a brahminy kite in
welcome. The lady on the radio said “port side tie, bow in................Oh
your slot A31” We thanked her and headed in. The little chap was there with his
bike trying to direct us to A21, starboard tie. I pointed, he looked confused
and reaching for his radio, listened and leapt on his bike.
Our Pangkor haul out has been delayed
by five days due to very low tides. Nothing for it then but to use the time for
some chores, jobs and pool time.
