Ahoy ya lubbers

Hi Bern and technically proficient crew. I know you’re out there
somewhere, and hopefully you know where you are somewhat more than I do.
Received a copy of your email from the Marquesas courtesy of Chris. It certainly
sounded like you were having a jolly old time while on land at least. Saw an
interesting bit on Beyond 2000 showing a wave piercing high speed power boat
that a New Zealand guy has built with the intention of breaking the record for
circumnavigating the globe. It’s very impressive as it sort of porpoises under
the waves. Only one slight hitch at present-he hasn’t taken it out of Auckland
harbour!! How is your vessel at porpoising ? We look forward to many
interesting stories and hopefully photographs when you return. Just one small
request from our esteemed Prime Minister. He has requested that all boat people
be processed offshore , so if you wouldn’t mind just stopping off at Nauru for
two or three years on your way back I’m certain he would appreciate it. Anyway carry
onward I’sure ther’s lots more ocean ahead of you, behind you, beside you,
under you---sorry I’m starting to feel a little nauseous—see you on dry land
when you return and thanks for the amusing emails. Kind regards Rhett |
