Today on the 29th of March we woke up at seven o’clock in the morning and got dressed. Our plan today was to sail to Ibiza. First we had to take everything from up on deck down below so the boat was ship shape. This included the electricity supply, washing and toys.

After we had left the dock we then untied the fenders, these stop the boat from getting scratched from the pontoon or other boats. They hang off the guard rails which run down each side of the boat.

Katie went to do the fenders and I also helped. After that my dad made the breakfast. Before the breakfast was made we saw dolphins jumping out of the water my dad was too busy looking at the dolphins and the porridge boiled over. We then went fishing, we put a bit more line out this time because last time the lure got tangled. A lure is a hook that looks like a fish to encourage the fish to eat it.

Soon we could see the tip of the Ibiza island but still it was 22 miles away. We had a look in my dads book that told you where you can anchor and where you can sail to. Dad was filling the water tanks it took him three hours but the water was made of sea water and we made into normal drinking water. This is really clever. We arrived at Ibiza and we decided to anchor in a Cala called Cala Badella. It was a lovely peaceful place, next we got ship shape and then we pumped the dingy up, when we had finished it was tea time so we had tea and went to bed.
