Today we set sail to the Greek mainland, it was only a short sail so we
motored. We would be coming back to Corfu for the winter, the Greek mainland has
funny shaped mountains and hills. We motored down a small passage, we couldn’t
motor through a certain part because it was to shallow for us, we would run
aground. When we had anchored we had our lunch, after lunch we decided to go to
the beach, we motored around the beaches to see which ones we liked the best. We
found a stony beach, we decided to play on this beach. The beach was rocky and
it had a few big sea urchins, because of the rocks and the sea urchins we had to
wear our crocks.
On the beach there where lots of different fish, Harry spotted a black
faced blenny, a red fish which looks a lot like a scorpion fish! There where sea
bream, mullet, and mini green and black fish! On the beach I found a sea snail
inside a small curly shell, Harry found a hermit crab inside a big green curly
shell, the hermit crab was red, he had tiny pinchers. We already have a small
collection of shells, I have two big hermit crab shells which Catrin and I found
buried in the sand on a Greek island. Whilst we where walking back to the dingy
Daddy got a phone call. Whilst he was talking Mummy and Catrin got into the
dingy whilst Harry and I sat on the side of the pontoon. I watched some girls
jump from of the pontoon and into the sea, there where lots of people swimming
in the sea.
When we got back to the boat, Harry pegged all the beach clothes up whilst
I unpacked a bright yellow bag which was full of towels and water bottles. After
tea I went into my bedroom and I read a book.
