"Musical Fuel berths and the saga of Sada"

Well folks as you can see by our position we are just a few miles round the corner in a nice spot which we were told was too shallow for us ! by the harbour staff nine days ago as it turns out wrong !
This entry starts with a good day out in Santiago followed by a bout of Rashides revenge ( a middle eastern term for a dose of the screaming Shits ) it was during one of these events that my phone fell out of my pocket I was more concerned with my nether regions than my hi Tec appendages so the phone is probably with some tramp up a side ally sucking on his meths and speaking to god knows who in cyber space , anyway according to Lynn my life is run by my phone and chit chat so after recovering from my bottom event I dug out Lens steam age phone ( pay as you go ) or to put it more in context pay as you throw money out the window "god dam these phones eat the money" , after trotting round the phone shops in La Corona trying to get credit put on the phone " UK orange doesn't speak to Spain Orange" and they cant cancel the old one plus I cant make a call  I have no credit ! bright idea use sat phone ! I called Dave and Alison who sought out credit cancelled my contract phone no and text the number thanks guys you saved my life according to Lynn .
The next day we planned our fuel stop in a marina down the bottom of La Cornea harbour we dutifully went to see El Capitano who assured us fuel was available we looked at the berth much better prospect than the one in central La Cornea which is a small stone wall surrounded by pontoons alright if you are 30FT  also my bum wasn't up to that sought of stress , left the next morning arrived at the fuel berth to a young Spaniard shouting No Diesel ! we went alongside I was protesting most vigorously and gesticulating as much as he was .. "Steve,Carl,Andy and Goeff you would have been proud of me" went to the office only to be told they ran out yesterday .. Bollards ...
Back to boat discussed with Lynn our options "SADA" the place we turned away from nine days age because they said TOO SHALLOW !!!! so it was the only place left to try , had a great sail with the foresail all the way down the Ria de Ares " Need a Light Airs Sail " only got 4.5 knots out of here in 8 to 10 knots of wind probably a cruising chute would do ... any one who knows were we can get a second hand  one let us know , arrived at the Marina went to anchor and Z boated in to marina office saw the El Capitano who rubbish the draft restriction , I didn't go into the fact that one of his staff said no  , so we pulled up alongside for the night with room under the keel to spare , as advised by the Capitano "come in early morning ten o'clock nobody will be about , hmm I thought looking at the dock that evening it was a free for all with motorboats , yachts and Personnel Water Craft ( Posh name for a git on a Tupperware torpedo ) no orderly queue just pushy shovy into the dock , as you all know I'm an early bird so I was alongside at 8 o/c not a Spaniard in sight , at ten past ten the pump attendant arrived Lens eyes light up when he told her that he was a male model between jobs , Elton would have taken a second look so I'm told anyway he spoke very good English so pumping there 600 litre past away quite quickly he had travelled a lot and worked in London, Milan and Paris but work was thin on the ground and his girlfriend didn't like him being away so he had come home for the summer to decide what to do , and yes girls you would have all been swooning " Hoolio double Glazing eat your hart out" Lynn reckoned it was the best looking pump attendant she had seen sine Antonio Bandaris who she reckons smoulders !
Anyway we are off tomorrow  after being fuelled and my bum repaired by lomatoll ,further down the coast , congrats to Steve and Lexa on there new sea dog  O' Mally the photos wont come through on this site as they filter them out at the server .
