Melv is sheltering from two hurricanes.

Hurricane Bill was forecast to pass over Nova Scotia last weekend and Hurricane Earl is heading in the same direction this coming weekend.

Its projected path shows it hitting Nova Scotia at 8am on Saturday when the wind speed is predicted to be 90mph (down from 140mph off Haiti).

The current track shows the storm going ashore near Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, on the morning of Sept. 4, Chris Fogarty, program supervisor for the Canadian Huricane Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.   “It looks like a 75 to 80 percent chance decent winds will move into some part of Nova Scotia,” Fogarty said. “The big question is, will it be hurricane strength when it arrives here.”
