If the weather is good to us we will be setting off on our epic journey in just 3 days.  The last two weeks have been pretty hectic with prepping the boat and testing out all our systems. Its been an amazing time here in La Gomera, meeting all the other teams (competitors) who are incredible positive people all with different goals and challenges.  Four ex soldiers all amputees, four chaps from Antigua who are actually older than we are! Two young guys of 21, a solo rower from South Africa, two great guys from Newcastle, Lots of very fit young men and then another girl team four lovely young ladies one of whom has done the race before.  Its been full on since we arrived thanks so much to Pete (Nikis dad) and Ben (my husband) for helping with prepping our boat now we know how to use a hand drill and a multimeter! When the cruise ship comes into the harbour here in La Gomera, we get a shower of folks visiting  us and wishing us well.
