Last day at St Maarten?

Still at St Maarten - but we will (probably) leave the marina this morning, anchor in Simpson's Bay or the Lagoon, and then Leave for St Bart's tomorrow morning.  we extended our plans as the weather forecast a few days ago suggested Monday would be windy, but then it would be quieter for the rest of the week;  the current forecast now shows it continuing windy, so we will just have to bite the bullet and go.
The time here has been pretty productive, painted the anchor locker and compartment aft of that.  Measured and marked the anchor chain, tidied up the seals on some of the lockers, and also tidied the lockers so that the generator can be stored.
Saturday night there was a fireworks display to mark the opening of the new bridge across the Lagoon.  Spectacular display that we were able to view from "Motivator", a trawler style yacht owned by Mo and Pollie, an American couple that we had met in Statia, and since met a couple of times in St Maarten.
Yesterday we went with Toby to the beach at Maho, which is right at the end of the airport runway, where people stand and take the full blast of the jets when the rev up.
Toby has now left "Global", flew last night to Antigua for a brief while before he joins his new boat in New Zealand.  Some pictures below of the fireworks and Maho beach.
