True Colours

So today Rosemary and I rejoined True Colours, slightly apprehensive as we had been away for over two months. In th event we found the right pontoon first time, the boat was OK, and we are now trying to find sensible space for all the stuff we have brought.

James was particularly pleased t find the bilges absolutely dry – so the re Sikaflexing around the keel has worked so far – we need to be pounding long in a sea before we know if it has fully worked.

Some crew changes;  Fiona and David have decided not to do the crossing, and Oli has got a new job (on board Rainbow – he could never have turned that one down).  So James will be joined by Toby (eldest son of James), his girlfriend (do I date myself by using this rather than the more common ‘partner’ )Nadine, and by Doug and Adrej, who both found True Colours by way of advertising for crew.  So we have a young but experienced crew, which is really exciting.

Doug is the first one to join us – due next Tuesday – and then on Saturday Toby and Nadine arrive, and Rosemary goes back to the UK on the return flight.  Andrej completes the complement later in that week.

Now to start drawing up the list of jobs!
