We collapsed into bed last night after a busy day and slept a solid 10 hours.  At last, around 5pm, the winds relented and, with two anchors out, we didn’t worry about dragging.  David spent yesterday helping on Amiable in awful conditions – donning a wetsuit to retrieve as much as possible from below before too much water damage.  Today we’ve both been on the boat all morning emptying lockers and ferrying goods ashore.  With light winds Amiable is fairly still – unlike yesterday when she was crashing making being on board rather dangerous.

Steve and Liz are fine although totally shell shocked.  Steve is busy working on the boat removing gear while Liz is ashore going through a mountain of stuff and washing and cleaning it.  It’s keeping their minds busy so they are not focussing too much on the disaster although seeing their boat in such a position cannot be easy.

We had a wonderful cruisers’ potluck dinner on the beach tonight and now back on board and ready for another early night.
