POSITION REPORT ON MONDAY 6 JULY 2015 AT 1200

15:31S  167:09E

We’ve just left Luganville in Vanuatu, heading for The Louisiades in Papua New Guinea. It’s a 7 or 8 day passage.

Cyclone Raquel has now been downgraded to a Tropical Depression and is dissipating rapidly, but it’s leaving behind a lot of confused weather, so we’re not exactly sure what we’re going to get. I guess that we’ll have some rain and possibly squall’s interspersed with periods of light wind, but the wind will hopefully be behind us for most of the way and we’re not expecting very strong winds, but who knows…

I’ll be trying to post every day at 08:00 local time which is 22:00 in the UK.
