Last night was dark and noisy as we had been running the engine continuously since late yesterday afternoon. The wind has been light and behind us and while we have the genny poled out, on its own it is too slow. Swell is pronounced and is forecast to increase over the next twenty four hours which will not be pleasant. Currently sky is overcast and its even a little chilly on deck – I am sure this will change as the morning progresses.

Running ahead of plan and expect to be at our 2nd last waypoint just south of Ilhas Selvagens (Savage Islands) in about three and a half hours. From there its 121nm’s to Las Palmas on a bearing of 162’M. All going well we should be arriving Las Palmas at dawn tomorrow.
