Well Tahiti is nice but I hit a small problem.  When I went to check the raw water pump I turned off the seacock (as you do) and the axle broke off inside the seacock.  The crazy builder had installed the seacock and then the engine on top of it, so no access!  I had to haul out and fit a new seacock in a different place.  Not easy in a place like this but at least I was able to source an excellent Blakes solid bronze seacock, which, by the way, had been specified in the first place.  And then discovered a broken weld in my self steering.  I had obviosly hit something whils asleep.  But all now seems OK, subject to sea trials

 

A bit of hiking, some meals ashore and afloat and hoping to relaunch tomorrow, Friday.  The big positive here is proper supermarkets with excellent food.  But at a price.  This is the most expensive place I have been to in my life.
