I am now at Ua-Poa. Before leaving Nuku Hiva we had a hike to the 1,350 foot waterfall from daniel's Bay. When you get to it it hides behind an arete and you cannot see it but you can from afar. Some of the river crossings (10 in all) were challenging. The anchorage at Daniel's Bay is lovely but a bit buggy. Returning to Toiohae I anchored beside Zebedee, same boat as Wild Fox but 3.5 feet shorter. Owner Alan and I have been in touch by email for 10 years but this is the first time we have met. Zebedee is basic. No electricity, no running water, chemical toilet. no engine (!). Everybody to their own...
