My new engine arrives.  After much detailed research I have decided on a red one.  With 30% more power it fits, but only just.  There is an amazing amount of work to get it in place, aligned with the propeller shaft and to make all of the adjustments so that everything else fits.  There are engineers, joiners, metal workers and electricians involved.  None of them speak English and they do not co-ordinate well with each other.  So whilst my life is chaos they are none the less doing an excellent job.

Finally it is time to start it.  It fires up first time.  No leaks.  The weather is terrible.  We wait for a window to do a sea trial. When the weather settles (a little) the engine performs well giving me about a 35% improvement in speed.  6.6 knots against the previous five.

I make an overnight visa run to my beloved Georgetown and come back with 30 days on my passport to decide when I move on to Malaysia.  A new shopping centre has opened.  In sterling it cost the private family 500 million pounds.  Best of all I liked the budgies.  But they were not for sale.

As the weather settles I will most probably go out for a few days sailing in the sunshine just to make sure everything is working OK.
