If you like gold this is the place to be.  The main pagoda is surrounded by hundreds of Buddha images so there is no shortage of places to pray. At the top of the pagoda is a 76 carat diamond for those interested in a climbing challenge.

The whole thing is 2,000 years old.  It's in pretty good nick for its age...

It is very exciting to be in Myanmar at a time of such massive political change.  More that one hundred political prisoners were pardoned yesterday with 400 more to follow shortly.  Well done Aung San SUn Kyi!
