Close to Ayre's Rock this is in many ways more spectacular and just as important to the Aboriginies - very sacred; do not climb!  The rock is quite different in composition but still dark / strong pink (red?). Originally underground, earth movements turned the rock through almost 90 degrees and pushed it up. Simple. You just have to stand aroung for 500 million years waiting for it to happen...
