Next on the agenda is an all day trip to Ulva Island a couple of miles away and a sea bird adventure in the afternoon. The guides are brilliant. Ashore we see red hooded parakeets, yellowheads, saddlebacks, kakas, riflemen, fantails, robins and weka. Amongst others. The Weka are great, often mistaken for Kiwi they are fierce enough to kill a rat. At sea, three species of albatross, the largest being over 10 kilos with a wing span of 3.4 metres (in reality a marine turkey), blue penguins, yellow eyed penguins and dozens of other airborne things.
