The road to Franz Josef

Instead of free beer on the beach with the Foxy Lady we drink my bubbly red wine. We watch the sunset, kids light fires and all too soon I am off the next morning. Millions of bridges to cross and many of them one lane only. A pity if a big truck is coming the other way!

On the way I stop and do a loop walk for an hour around an old gold mine. Life was rough back then and most miners died before the age of 40. The graveyard shows that many were Irish, as you would expect.

I arrive at Frans Josef and quickly upgrade my room to a double ensuite. Why would I want to share a dorm room with five young European girls?
