We arrived in Lyminton Yacht Haven at 19:15.
Had a good sail for most of the way. Wind built exactly as predicted and
by the time we arrived at the Needles we had taken down the main and were
sailing under jib alone. Interesting (!) passage through the Needles
channel with wind against a strong tide and huge waves. Unfortunately the
main split along a seam as we were taking it down about 4 miles S of the
Needles. At least it lasted this long! A trip to the sailmaker is on
the agenda for tomorrow.
