Up at 5:30 to a beautiful sunrise over the Cockburn range. So glad we chose the riverside bushcamp. Can see the salties swimming in the river as we drink our morning tea. Too far away to photograph. Tide coming in at a phenomenal rate. By the time we had packed up the camp the water was nearly at the top of the bank. We drove up to the viewpoint to get a phone signal and download the WhatsApp’s etc. Then we headed for the Pentecost river crossing, the most famous on the Gibb but pretty low in water at this time, unfortunately.

After the crossing it was a short drive to El Questro Station, which is quite a famous destination in the Kimberley. We camped in a shady spot in the massive Cockatoo campsite near the station amenities, bar, shop, restaurant etc. We good tell we’d arrived in a quality establishment - Dyson hand driers in the loos!
