There is an electrical fault on the alternator which is discharging current to sea via the prop shaft and propeller.
A man from Malo is flying out with parts to fix it (and the damage caused) next week.
We will then hand over the boat to a delivery crew to make the Ocean crossing.
This is very disappointing but there is no longer time for us to make the crossing and we will all be exhausted before the start anyway.
We are focused on solving the problem with the vessel and will work out what we do next later.
