Strong following winds had us poling out the jib and genoa for a goosewing run bearing 42mag, covering the first 44nm leg to the nothern point of Corsica in 4hrs 19mins, an averge speed over ground of 10.19knts. Winds average 18 to 25knts. No doubt the fastest leg to date. Now on a bearing of 108mag on a 37nm reach to Portoferraio, Elba. Double reefed genoa and mainsail have Westralia averaging +8.5knots in 17knts apparent. The Reckmann jib furler has packed in so will have to get that repaired when trip is finished.
