Now in range of 3g network as we cruise under motor off the Portuguese coast close to Lisbon, so I have loaded up some blogs of the previous couple of days. Current timing has us into Gibraltar early Sunday morning with Jude and Matt due to arrive Sunday arvo.

We had great and challenging time through the strong winds pushing us through Biscay and around the corner past Finisterre. John's experience was critical through those 50kt conditions. The winds dropped away and we have been under motor since 1500 hrs 27/6. The sun is up and warm conditions have provided a respite to catch up on sleep, charge batteries, make water, clean up and do some washing.

Mark and Andrew have been providing restaurant class meals - amazing for a beany and a lawyer. Steve Huxter, the engineer from Discovery, has his sea legs now after living his worst nightmare through the heavy winds.

Note I had to go through the rubbish to recover food to reduce costs after I accidentally allowed my Outlook to upload emails through Fleet Broadband satellite at USD22 per Mb! We had been limiting its use to weather files only. Blew a quick thousand in a blink of an eye.

Plenty of dolphins and whales en route through Biscay and on the run south to Gibraltar.
