Good morning, hope you are having a good weekend,

Not so much progress yesterday but it could have been worse, achieved 70 miles which is ok for a bad wind day. I motor-sailed for a bit and at one point was achieving 3.6 knots from only 9 knots wind, it all adds up. Looking back at my log the least miles I've completed in a day is 23 and I have 12 days with less than 40 miles. The best, 132 miles on the 8th December. For forecasting I assume 100 miles a day. I expect the winds to be light again today picking up during the night and tomorrow I should have some goods winds again from south/south west.

All systems running ok. I had a problem with battery charging from solar panels on the first day but traced the cabling back from the panels and found a cable had become disconnected so re-connected and all ok.

Had an amazing display from dolphins yesterday for about half an hour, it was special because I was only travelling at about 2.5 knots and the water was very clear so I could see them enjoying themselves under the water. The only disappointment was that I took loads of footage on the GoPro but none has come out and I doubt I will witness anything like that again.

Another high yesterday was a super tanker passed by and the skipper made contact with me on the radio and chatted for a while and wished me good luck for the remainder of my journey, its so great when that happens, it means a lot.

Finally, the ultimate snack……take two TUC biscuits, spread butter on one and put a big spread of Nutella on the other then place together…..and eat in one mouth full. Absolutely amazing. Now progress to the triple…(see pic)
