Hello all, Well time has flown, but I’m now preparing for my return journey. I am really looking forward to getting back to good old Blighty. Wandering Star has been out of the water and I’ve inspected the hull and all looked good and she has been re-antifouled. I expect to leave in the next 10-15 days probably w/c 16 April. My plan is to take a southerly route to the Azores keeping below a latitude of 30 degrees for as long as I can and thus keeping out of the path of any Atlantic storms. The impact of this may be a slower time wth less wind than I might hope, but keeping on the side of caution which I prefer. From the Azores I can look out for the right weather window before making my last passage back to Brixham. Ive also been building up my food bank and Lyn, Jack, George and Jake have been fantastic bringing out food parcels including Fray Bentos pies for my return journey. All the best for now Ben   |
