Hello all,

Sunday lunch…..the effort that would normally go into the picture below would be regarded as minimal. In fact unless you are a student a Fray Bentos pie for Sunday lunch is not acceptable.  

But imagine cooking the below while ridding a horse and spinning a number of plates on poles. Its the closest I can imagine because the boat is rolling around all over the place today. Anyway I think I’ve had enough Fray Bentos for a while - meat balls tomorrow….or I might catch a fish.  

So what can I do….I can motor and I will do that for some of the time but five days motoring will be a stretch on my reserves. I have completed over 600 miles since La Palma and have about 2000 left to go so still relatively early days. It's a bugger because I could see it on the fcst building and I have been going south to try and avoid it but it covers such a large area there was really no avoiding it - the doldrums - its not actually the doldrums they are further south but they will be my doldrums.

I could swim and pull the boat along…….maybe take some sleeping tablets and wake up in four days time, if you don’t get any blog updates for a while don’t worry…..I’m doing a wind dance….what a frightening thought!
