The weather
All is smooth and quiet today, slipping along at seven knots. The wind dropped last night and shifted to the North. We are approaching the Agulhas Current and will enter tonight after dark, hopefully we have timed this right. There is a chance that the wind will shift back south but the grib files (weather) are not showing any strong winds.

Cake All Gone
Hilary’s delicious fruit cake has now been consumed. It is the perfect antidote for rough weather, when nothing else will hit the spot. It has sustained us through many a tough passage. We rationed this one, but it still hasn’t lasted. Our afternoon tea will now seem rather plain.
