Monday – After the storm on Sunday evening and checking the weather forecast we decided to move into the marina for a few nights. We did this early Monday morning as we had to get Lucy to the airport to catch her plane back to the UK. The rest of the day was spent cleaning Wanda.

Tuesday – Another day cleaning Wanda and doing Laundry. It’s amazing how you can get so behind on these chores when you are at anchor or busy sightseeing.

Wednesday – Time for a bus ride into Corfu Town. We wanted to try and sort out our internet connection for the next month. Unfortunately we were informed if we did it today it would start today and as we still had a couple of weeks left we didn’t want to do this – so a bit of a wasted journey. We decided to go and visit the old fort and headed off through town. On our way we met Sally (Ron Glas) and Suzanne (Jolli Jumper). They are anchored in the bay. We had a chat to catch up with what we all had been doing since leaving Marina di Ragusa. We then had a wander around the old fort.

Thursday – Time to move out of the marina. We did a few last minute chores – filling up with water, checking out with the Port police and filling up with fuel. We then motored the 4 nm to Corfu Town. We had a bit of trouble setting the anchor – we kept hitting patches of weed. On our fourth attempt we hit sand and it set.

While we were tidying up on deck we saw Suzanne from Jolli Jumper swimming our way. She very kindly offered to check our anchor was set. She swam back a short time later to inform us it was in a patch of sand and was set. The wind picked up a little in the late afternoon and then Alan and Suzanne came over for a drink in the evening.
