I’m trying to catch up with the Blog, and I think I may have cracked it at last. This is the test.
There are many similarities between NZ and the UK, including their ability to spell labour and colour correctly, but there are also a few reminders that it’s actually a different country. Here’s one of them, spotted in Takapuna, a pleasant seaside suburb of north Auckland, shortly before we left:

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to go in and find out what it was all about, so like me you’ll just have to guess.
If you’re reading this then I’ve sorted the computer problems out and normal service on the blog will resume forthwith. Obviously I’m a bit behind because the Blog is still in New Zealand whereas we’re now in Australia via New Caledonia but I’ll get on the case and catch up. There will be a few entries in quick succession.
