What a send off yesterday!!  A boat load of wonderfully noisy supporters got us all out of the marina and over the line to rousing cheers.  The weather was perfect, although not quite enough wind.  It filled in a bit later and then faded overnight so progress has been disappointingly slow since.  I have the spinnaker up as I write, but there's only so much you can do with 2 knots of apparent wind.  I may have to get it down before it twists round the forestay - there's an annoyiong swell which knocks the wind out of it.  Depending on the breeze I shall probably head north a bit and pass close to the Scillies, inside the shipping lane there.  Once past them, I can steer where I want without the worry of traffic separation schemes.  Meanwhile it's hot and sunny, so no complaints.

A big thank you to all my family, friends and supporters who were huge  fun to have around in Plymouth and on the start line  -  it was quite a day for me, to have finally reached the start line and it was great to share it with you.  Love to you all!
