I had planned to have a gentle start for the crossing so that everyone could get their sea legs but alas it was not to be and we consistently had 10kts of wind above the forecast for the first 24hrs.  A highlight was being followed by a pod of pilot whales.  The second day we motored a fair bit and then as we neared Greenland it was heavy fog I guess near the convergence as the sea temperature is only 3c.  Then it cleared, which was appreciated as we were now in the mix of icebergs.  Quite a spectacular approach.  We have spent today visiting the village and catching up on a few jobs.  Tomorrow we will start heading north.
