Quite a tough day yesterday, but fast, wind mainly between 20 to 25 Knots
but long spells at 30 knots, seas were running high as well, so crew a
little tired last night. Overnight the wind has clocked to the south and has
lightened to about 15 Knots, the sea is now much calmer and crew feeling
much better. Poor Giles has not been great, and not holding on to much food,
trying to get fluids and sugar into him, He looks much better this morning
after a good night sleep, so we are hopeful of a recovery. Goulash for
supper last night, delicious ( for three). So far every day we are
averaging 7.6 knots which is giving us 183 miles per day since we left
Horta. Truant seems to be holding up well, even with the pounding yesterday,
she is looking forward to a rest in Palma and some tlc.
