We have arrived! We got to Puerto Mogan at about 1400 hours yesterday after
a delightful morning cruising down the coast of Gran Canaria. We had the
spinnaker up for a while, the first time since 2000! The weather is warm and
the port is delightful. Since our last visit here in 1995 it has not changed
to much. We had a bit of drama getting into our berth, with the port lines
we were given not tethered to the sea bed. The crew cleaned the boat inside
and out and I did the port clearance. A few beers and out for a good supper,
as we had not been drinking 2 bottles of Red and we were all whammed!

Our Final Communication

Yesterday's events were un-dramatic. The crew lounged in the sun before our
arrival on Spanish soil. We did have one exciting moment when Tom caught a
Tuna. This was a time of huge excitement and a rather tasty result!
The crew actually had to do some work yesterday, washing the boat and
cleaning down below. It did not go unnoticed that our Skipper was very
enthusiastic to clear in and missed out on these chores! Popping back to
give us a beer..

However, as we write to you from our Berth in Morgan after a heavy night
(some of the more reckless of us had two whole beers and a glass of red), we
are all rather sad it is over. We have been much amused by our own wit and
terribly good sense of humour, but we hope it has not been too unbearable...
