Jonathan the mechanic showed up yesterday afternoon with a refurbished injector pump, new injectors and an A frame to lift the engine . Unfortunately he hadn't told me he was coming so I hadn't prepared the engine for the lift. In the event he had forgotten some fuel pipes which he'd had cleaned so he said he'd return today. He hasn't.

Anyway, he's off to Thailand tomorrow for ten days so we had agreed that the work will be completed on his return. This of course means Christmas in the marina and not in Lankawi. I feel sorry not to be meeting up with some old friends but on the other hand it means that the new Karno will be completed and available by Christmas.

The marina are throwing a Christmas party on the 20th. They are providing the food and drink which considering the prices they charge here, around £20 PER WEEK, is incredibly generous. I hope to be on the move by mid-January but as I'm planning a quick trip to the UK in April/May I'll be back down here as it's the cheapest place to leave the boat.

I will be posting again before Christmas but a merry festive season to one and all.
