The rally route

'Sarf & West mate, Sarf & West'

Had a good if unplanned 'run ashore' with Maureen and Paul yesterday. With beer at A$6 per glass not something we'll be doing too often. Met up with people we'd seen along the 'road' from Brisbane and found that everybody has similar moans about Australia, i.e. 'it's a bloody expensive place, mate'. How do Aussies afford to live here?

At the moment I'm anchored alongside Calypso and the trip to the beach is at least a mile. Too far to row I fear however there were a couple of cats dried out on the beach next to the yacht club. Hmm. Yes I think so. Perhaps in the middle of the week, after applying for the Indonesian tourist visa which apparently takes five working days.

google earth is so helpful, now I know where I'm going! Also below a link to the rally home page

The weather is now very pleasant and matches the latitude. I foresee a couple of pleasant weeks, particularly if the homebrew project comes off!
