Having successfully resurrected the outboard and taken it for a quick spin round the harbour, I bravely decided to accept a dinner invitation on board Calypso, currently anchored at Tradewinds.

I am pleased to announce that I got there AND back without hitting any of the numerous reefs in the way.
The IPad worked well, didn't get wet, still works and I now know that the 'Mighty Mercury' pushes the dingy along at a breathtaking four knots!

Just to clarify, I wasn't being brave accepting the dinner invitation (Chateau Collapso Vin de  rice is optional not obligatory) but I had some doubts about the outboard's ability to continuously run for about 50 mins each way. Oh ye of little faith.

The 'other electrician' came yesterday and possibly connected up the masthead lights. Needless to say Martin didn't (come yesterday). The electrician spent some time complaining about how unreliable Martin was. I never realised that!

I have two letters to deliver this morning. I doubt that they awill actually achieve anything but I'm building a paper trail in case (or most probably when) I have to go to Customs for an extension.
