Lazy Sunday

Decided to 'get away from reality' for the day. I was picked up at a
sensible hour of the morning and whisked away for a 'Big Breakfast' at the
Novotel (formerly the Tradewinds Hotel and still referred to as such). A
nice setting with a sheltered anchorage, but the water was the colour of
Kava, i.e. very muddy.
After a leisurely start we drove for a couple of hours along the Coral
Coast, had very overpriced cold drinks at 'Fiji's best kept secret
resort' which is found 4km along a dirt road (hire cars are renowned for
being the best off-road vehicles in the world and first gear can take you
from 0 - 50 with no trouble at all). I think it was called Crusoes, but
was not connected with Robinson Crusoe Isle which is further along the
coast. Offhand I can think of two reasons it is kept a secret, the access
and the prices.
Back at the ranch by about 5pm, then an early night. I'm listening to the
rain right now, trying to muster the enthusiasm to walk down to the marina
and see how much 'electrickery-stuff' was removed on Saturday morning and
whether or not any of it might somehow be salvageable. Ho Hum, back to
reality with a vengeance, I think I prefer Sundays!
