Had a long sleep and our first ‘day off’, great;-)

For me the best moment of the day on a sailing yacht is the first time going on deck, sniffing the morning calmness, having a coffee; makes me feel happy!

T&T took us to a café for an English breakfast, very nice.

Discovered the centre of Mahon, very beautiful and visited the supermarket to do some shopping for an apple pie! The weather was pretty good, so it was time for some dek-sletten!! A Dutch _expression_ for lying on the deck, with expensive glasses, glamorous bikini’s and have a sun bathe with a glass of prosecco… In practice we had a beer and some cheap boring magazines and the sun was gone…but it’s all about the way you look…

In the afternoon, T&T went out for a walk to town, so we went into the galley to make some apple pie. We googled for the easiest recipe, as we had to guess the quantities without a scale. So with the pie in the oven we continued our proceedings on deck.

The result was at our satisfaction and by returning to the Tioram, T&T were relieved they found the galley very organised and not burned…

At night we had tapas and a bottle of delicious red wine, Dutch Courage for the big trip the next day… Funny, Dutch courage is an English _expression_, but why ‘Dutch’??.....
